All about us
We are based at the scout hall in Shawmoss Road in Shawlands and have Beavers, Cubs and Scouts sections which include both girls and boys.
As part of The Scout Association, we help young people from six to 18 to achieve their potential as individuals and as members of their communities.
We run team activity evenings and, through the badge programme, we help individuals to improve their skills in areas such as music, animal care, writing, swimming and many more. We also hold events such as barbecues and party nights so parents can get a lot out of scouting too.
Volunteering
We are keen to hear from young outdoor enthusiasts. The scouts can give you plenty of experience that may help you in your future. Even if you have never been involved in scouting or the girl guides, now is the time to take that first step. Contact info@3rdglasgowscouts.org
History of 3rd Glasgow
3rd Glasgow is one of the oldest scout groups in the world, dating back to 1908. One of our committee members has been involved since very nearly that time! Well maybe not that long, but he knows a thing or two about our history. Read some of the facts he has unearthed here
