3rd Glasgow welcomes new scout leader

3rd Glasgow is delighted to welcome Ally Hutton as the scout leader for the start of the new session.

Having travelled to camps and scout events across the Scotland and Europe he now devotes his time to supporting some of the groups in the South Western District of Glasgow.

He promises to bring a full programme of activities to our Tuesday night scouts.

Ally said: “It would be a disaster if 3rd Glasgow were to fold and reduce the opportunities for young people in the area, so I am happy to step in and help out.

“Scouts has given me so many opportunities to learn new skills, meet people and travel and it is important to me to help pass this on to the next generation of scouts.”

As Ally, who has been involved with scouting since he was only six years old, has strong links with other packs he has promised to start a programme with plenty of chances to meet others scouts from across the district and to try new activities.

And it looks as if he has a few ideas up his sleeves for some fun evenings for parents as well so keep checking back for further info.
